The NGO “Parallel-Silistra” together with its Bulgarian and Romanian partners, organized an information day “Entrepreneurship Week in the cross-border region of Silistra-Calarasi”. The event took place on 13 November 2017 in the conference room of Hotel Drustour, beginning at 16:00.
It was part of the information campaign under the project “Entrepreneurship for Youth Labor Mobility”, financed by the program INTERREG 2014-2020 Romania – Bulgaria. The project aims to improve the employability of young people in the labor market and to make them more mobile when looking for work in the cross-border region. The project activities started on 20 June 2017 and will continue until December 20, 2018. For their performance Parallel-Silistra NPP is partnering with the Atanas Burov Vocational School of Economics in Silistra and the Romanian partners from Calarasi: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Economic Secondary School and the Association Partners 2000.
The Information Day “Entrepreneurship Week in the Cross-border Region Silistra-Calarasi” marked the beginning of a series of information days devoted to the joint Bulgarian-Romanian educational scheme “Entrepreneurship without Borders”. This model encourages not only entrepreneurship training, but also foreign language learning in Bulgarian and Romanian languages as well as practical exchange activities and cooperation with the business community in the cross-border region.
During the information day, cross-border student companies were presented as well as youth projects under the motto “Entrepreneur inspiring me”. The main lecturer was Mrs. Nevena Mladenova, Public Finance Manager, Microsoft Bulgaria, who discussed the topic “Leadership and Digital Presence in the Technology Age”.
